  5.     Manager, such as last minute updates to
  6.     the docmentation, installation instructions, etc.

  10. How to get help
  11. ---------------
  12. If you have any problems, please read this file, the online help,
  13. and any other text files in the ARCMAN directory. If you still have
  14. a question and need help, it is available from the following sources:
  15.  
  16. 1. With your modem, dial 1-913-764-5958, and leave a message to Tech
  17. Support. (This is for registered users only.)
  18.  
  19. 2. Leave a message to Kelly Schrock on FIDOnet, address 1:280/304,
  20. and I will reply to you as soon as i get your message.

  22. Installing Archive Manager
  23. --------------------------------------
  24. To install this program, log to the distribution disk where the
  25. files for it are stored, and type INSTALL. you will be prompted
  26. for information on where the files should be placed. If the files
  27. were in an archive, unpack them all to a temprary directory, and
  28. type INSTALL from the temporary directory.

  30. The file ARCMAN.INF contains important information on the use of
  31. Archive Manager.

  33. To view the INF file, type VIEW ARCMAN at the command prompt.
  34.  
  35. The online help file, ARCMAN.HLP, contains the same information,
  36. in HLP format.

  38. Using Archive Manager
  39. ---------------------
  40. The simplest way to use Archive Manager is to make a shadow of it on
  41. your desktop, and drag archive files to it when you want to manipulate
  42. them. If you installed Archive Manager with the accompanying installation
  43. program, it will be set up with an association for ZIP and LZH files, and
  44. files with these extensions will display the Archive Manager icon.

  46. Dealing with ZIP files made with PKZIP 2.04g
  47. --------------------------------------------
  48. The current OS/2 version of PKZIP can not read files created with the current
  49. DOS version of PKZIP. If you need to work with .ZIP files created with
  50. PKZIP 2.04g, you must use the InfoZIP archivers, available on most BBSes.
  51. These can handle .ZIP files created with PKZIP 2.04g.

  53. NOTE:
  54. Only InfoZIP 5.x and above are supported! Earlier versions are not able
  55. to extract files to a specified directory, and are NOT supported with
  56. Archive Manager.
